At the Consumer Electronics Show in 1990, Howard Phillips, the “Game Master” of Nintendo whose job it was to test the quality of times coming to North America, was asked if his position at Nintendo meant that he is a kid, or if he just knew how kids think. Howard simply smiled and replied, “People used to think that to play games you had to be a kid, but that’s not necessarily true. You just have to want to have fun.”
The world needs more Howard Phillips.
